Notes and Clarifications
If the documents are in a foreign internationally known language, they are accepted only if they are certified true and accompanied by an official translation. This means an official translation provided or ratified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by Greek Consular Authority or by a lawyer (in accordance with the provisions of Article 53 of the Lawyers Code). Certified copies of these documents may also be accepted. If the presented supporting documents do not provide full civil details for the interested party, a photocopy of both sides of their police identity or if they do not have such identity, a photocopy of the pages of their passport, is also required. The supporting documents for the issuing of deferrals can be submitted form the date of acquisition of the relevant qualifications up to the date upon which the interested party shall be classified in the Armed Forces due to expiration or cessation of his legal exclusion from the same. If the supporting documents are submitted at a later stage, the deferral is granted provided the applicant has not been classified in the Armed Forces and provided that all required conditions existed upon the date the same had to be classified, but a two (2) month additional military obligation is imposed on him.
